Advice on TMA
Option 1: interpretation of texts count as representation. Translation is an issue - may change representation. Example of "piglet of God". See "The Yali Story".
Note representation of religions as nationalist.
Note possibility of bringing in globalisation and secularisation if appropriate.
Option 2 make sure to discuss both new and traditional representations. Consider outsider as well as insider represntations. Consider correlation between media and audience. E.g. size of audience.
Check the illustrations book - not many people use it.
Modern representations of Christianity.
Note controversial and uncontroversial uses - and note that it depends on to whom it's controversial.
Auden's "Roman Wall Blues" came into it somewhere - I'm not sure why.
And finally I had a good idea about representation in film - M*A*S*H suddenly occurred to me - the scene where they are preparing Waldowski for his suicide, and the tableau freezes moentarily into the Last Supper.
